The Andrew High School Music Parents will be holding their 2nd Annual Golf Outing fundraiser on Sunday June, 10th
at the Silver Lake Country Club.

The cost of $100. per golfer includes a cart and dinner. Please check the VJA Music Parents website at www.vjamusic.com for additional details.

Reminder – Uniform Turn In (Thursday, May 17 & Saturday, May 19th)

Uniform turn in is scheduled for Thursday, May 17th from 6-7pm and Saturday, May 19th from 9-10am outside the band room. Please be sure to clean all items to be returned, care instructions are attached:

How to care for your Band uniform:

Jackets and Bib Pants:

Jackets and bib pants are completely washable. Machine wash on gently cycle, cold water. Wash and dry the uniform jacket and pant separately. Turn jackets inside out, zipper and fold extended shoulders back onto shoulder pads during washing and drying. You may use “Spray and Wash” if needed. Dry on gently cycle. Do not wash the uniform jacket with the uniform pants!

Disney Trip Informational Meeting (Tuesday, May 29)

There will be an informational meeting in the PAC for all those planning to go to Disney next school year.

Music Parents – Board Elections (Thursday, May 3)

Due to multiple candidates for the board positions of 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President, a meeting to hold elections has been scheduled for Thursday, May 3rd at 6:30pm in the choir room. The meeting is open to all families, however only those members who have attended 3 or more Parent Meetings during the 2011-2012 school year are eligible to vote. Those members who are eligible, please be sure to check in and receive your ballot. All ballots will be counted and the new officers will be announced prior to the meeting’s adjournment.

Notre Dame Wind Symphony Performance (Friday, May 11)

The Music Parents are hosting the Notre Dame Wind Symphony who will be performing at Andrew High School on Friday, May 11th. You are invited to purchase your tickets to this event during our pre-sale period which runs through Friday, April 20th. Tickets are $10 each and seating is limited. Proceeds from this concert will go to the Andrew Music Parent’s General Fund which helps support many of our school’s music programs. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the Notre Dame Wind Symphony.

If you are interested in attending, please complete the attached form and have it turned into the ‘yellow box’ located in the band room. Checks should be made payable to the Andrew Music Parents. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Bandapalooza concert on Sunday, April 22nd. Any tickets not picked at the concert will be distributed to your student on Monday, April 23rd.

Spring Musical Concession Volunteers Needed

Looking for four volunteers to help run our concession sales at the upcoming Musical ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’. Volunteer needed for Thursday and one for Friday, April 19th and 20th respectively, and two volunteers for Saturday, April 21st. Volunteers would arrive at the school by 6:30pm to help sell water and candy before the start of the musical, during the intermission and immediately following the performance.
